Wanaka

Located 140kms north west of Queenstown and located on the shores of Lake Wanaka, the township is a popular tourist resort for both summer and winter recreation.

Wanaka is know  for the famous New Zealand Fighter Pilots Museum, a maze and trout hatchery.

The views of the Southern Alps across the gleaming water of Lake Wanaka are unparalled.

During the winter, Wanaka is the ski resort town for the Cardrona, Treble Cone skifields, Waiorau Nordic Ski area.

Wanaka is also the gateway  for the Mt Aspiring National Park.
